APARTMENT THERAPY FEATURE

As many of you know, we have begun the process of building our new home from the bottom up (again!). During this time, our family needed a place we could call home. Renting a house in the area can be a little pricey, so we decided to pare down somewhat and make ourselves a temporary abode in a downtown highrise. No yard to keep up, no garbage to place on the curb, no maintenance of any leaks or creaks. Apartment living has it’s benefits!

Upon moving in, my biggest obstacle was getting past all of the beige on top of beige… not ideal. That said, I wanted to find a way to make this space feel more like our home without spending time or money on painting, replacing fixtures, etc. And I am happy to report that these days my family is feeling at home, and who better to showcase the transformation than the apartment experts over at Apartment Therapy! Katie says, “When we moved in, the space had a beige palette with brown accents (not my typical go-to colors!). That said, I wanted to find a way to make this temporary space feel more like our home without spending time or money on painting or replacing fixtures.”
